Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. John 8:14 NIV
Jesus lets the Pharisees know that even though He speaks on His own behalf, that what He speaks is truth. He knew where He came from and He knew He would be returning to the Father. He goes on to tell them that they do not know at all where He came from nor where He was going to go. Although all He spoke was truth, the Pharisees accepted none of it. Their minds were too feeble and blind to be able to understand.
