One By One They Left

At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. John 8:9 NIV

I find this very amazing. Those who left here were haters of Jesus, yet each of their hearts had been touched in realizing that Jesus here spoke truth. Each of us is guilty of sin and has not the right to cast a stone at another. We must remove the plank in our eye in order to help remove the speck in our neighbor’s eye. I am not sure in today’s society that all would turn away form this situation, not unless God did touch the heart of all, of which He is more than capable of doing. Each of us as a sinner must come to stand before Christ, acknowledging our sinfulness and seeking His forgiveness and redemption.
