Breaking News, flashed on the screen
Alerting viewers, to take heed
Another tragic incident occurred
Routine activities, it did impede
It seems to happen most every day
In the homeland and abroad
Tornadoes, crashes, and violent acts
Or a company has committed fraud
Modern technology has intensified
The spread of news travels fast
Within moments of occurrence
It's on the latest newscast
The majority consists of turmoil
Greed and violence high on the list
Weapons often on the scene
And the display of, a clenched fist
But comfort can always be found
Within the pages of God's Word
There's light at the-end-of-the-tunnel
It's the greatest message, ever heard
Weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning
I find in Psalm thirty, and five
The good news,- of a new day dawning
My eyes are cast beyond the turmoil
That is so prevalent in our land
I bask in the comfort of His Word
Knowing the future, is in His Hands
