Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me. You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come.” John 7:33-34 NIV

Jesus’ going back to the Father came through His Sacrifice. A trip to Calvary was required. There needed to be an eternal sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin and the redemption of makind. All this could only be accomplished through this man, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Yes, Jesus was to return to the Father, but the road there was not a simple easy one. Our trek to the Father is also not easy. It can only happen through Jesus Christ, and to go through Him to the Heavenly Father requires sacrifice from us. We must say no to that which is of this world and say yes to Jesus.
