Even His Brothers

For even his own brothers did not believe in him. John 7:5 NIV

The males born of Mary and Joseph did not even believe in the divinity of Christ. They wanted Him to show off His powers at the festival. I wonder if they wanted to be prideful of the fact that they were His brothers. Or did they not want to even be associated with Him? I am sure that Jesus was saddened by their unbelief. How do you feel when members of your family do not belief in you? Thankfully James and Jude eventually became believers in Jesus. Believe in Him who the Father sent.
