What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Matthew 16:26 NIV
The soul is at the very core of our being. The soul shall live eternally reflecting the uniqueness of the individual. Without a soul one does not exist. How then would one want to do anything to forfeit their soul? We could live for physical pleasure in life, but what does that do to satisfy the soul? Only one thing can truly satisfy the human soul, and that is its creator, God. Can we offer nothing for the eternal residence of our soul? Our soul was purchased with a price by God, the blood of His son shed at Calvary.
