The Net

“Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.” Matthew 13:47-48 NIV

The net is the gathering of all souls called to the final judgment. Each shall be judged. We are the fish living in the lake for now. When the net gathers all in there will then be no lake remaining. The fishermen are the angels sent out to bring the good fish into the kingdom of God and to throw the bad fish into the fire to be burned. There is only heaven or the fire. There is no lake to return bad fish into. They lived their life in the lake and lived such a way as to not be called into the kingdom of heaven.
