The earth remembers wistfully what it felt like to be gently tread upon and lovingly cultivated and nurtured ever so briefly by two perfect people, before they fell and it all came crashing and crumbling down to dust.
And then too, the earth remembers the touch of the gentle massaging soles of the feet of that gentle soul who never fell and never will, and who carries us all who will be carried.
