The Right Next
This crosses the mind at different time and at the end of every stage or journey. What is Next? This question may be directly or indirectly framed, but this is what it means, “What is Next” on the agenda of time in life!
Life is full of activities and each is on queue. Life with its numerous activities is blessed with several opportunities. Last year, in just concluded or about to, you definitely have been opportune to give your attention to some activities and I do not know if you have discovered the opportunities in them.
Time, life and God are prime opportunities and they are all free, we can make use of them that’s is if we recognise them to be opportunities! However, constant and generous they appeared, they can be wasted with foolishness.
What is Next on the agenda of life ‘s activities, your anticipation, goals or vision? There are many goals, resolutions and plans for the new stage of life. In this, many are still confused about the next step, action and path to take. It becomes very difficult for quite number of people because the unseen future is set and programmed by a limited being. The “Right Next” matters in any set of actions, else the whole plan and goal will have no option but to fail!
What is the right Next? The answers to this will vary and as well peculiar to an individual; since we have different types of journeys, beginnings and destinations, goals and anticipations, education and qualification, Needs and possessions, opportunities and privileges. In spite of these differences, we shall have the same opportunity of time, life and God in existence in this new stage of life. Some ultimately want to attain some levels of power and fit.
What is the next item you want from life? What next do you want from God? What are the next steps, actions, obligations, anticipations and promotions you seek to fulfill in life? What is the next height, level of faith and relationship you want have with God?
There must be the right next skills, information and knowledge to acquire, how are you set to go about them? If we jump the queue of the right next step, action, goal to set, skill and knowledge to acquire, we are sure to reap nothing but regrets.
To understand the right next in our lives at this moment of time and life, we will need to understand the basic of life. We can discover these by pondering on the following questions:
· what do you understand about life? What is your concept about life? Your concept about life determines your ideas’ conception, conviction, commitment and consolidation of strength and proper utilisation of opportunities that life will present you with
What is you concept about time!
I guess you are not ignorant of God, your purpose, your gifts and abilities, and your environment. We are all by God and shall be by Him. It is very difficult to move a man beyond his understanding. That is why, what your knowledge about the basics of life is most relevant than scheming in your dream to be a “super man” I guess it is a very big crime in life to have no plan! It is rather dangerous. If you have no set of plans about how to fulfill your set of goals, I guess you have chosen a wrong click, you will run many useless plans of other men!
What is your value as of today and what value do you want to add in your chosen profession, career and calling. It is necessary to begin with the right step!
The Psalmist prayer is “Teach me oh Lord how to number my days that I may apply my heart unto wisdom” If we know the counting of time, the value of life and the concern of God then we will know the acting of our plans rightly.
“The way of a man is not in himself it is not in man that walks to direct his steps”: Jere. 10:23. Man is a limited being and so cannot guess all things so right in this life. It is firmly sure a disaster to guess your real future with ignorance. There is need for ever-present guidance; the invisible hand of God to lead you through many locked gates of opportunities. Solomon advice is “In all your ways acknowledge him and He shall direct your paths’ Be not wise in your own eyes you need God – you cannot go into this phase in His absence? You dare not!
If you have not given God consideration before now in all your anticipations, please do. If you refuse His guidance, you will be left with an option of picking a wrong choice for your future. God has the blue print of your life and can implement them to letter. He is the only one with perfect judgment to the hope and peace you seek. He is the only one with the materials with which your future can be built as planned!
One of the greatest virtues displayed by wisdom is “Submission”. A man who sincerely admits that he knows not but gave himself to the tutorship of one who has perfect understanding of the journey and as well willing is not a sign of weakness but a great strength. To submit to the tutorship of God is not a sign of foolishness but wisdom.
His guiding maps will safe the unnecessary interruptions. A man who chooses his way without consultation of God will fall many times into pits.
The saviour of life (Jesus) can lead safely through all the storms, darkness, uncertainties and troubles. He has power over all circumstances. He cannot be scared by the threat of any journey. You will need the Saviour of life to be sure of God’s leading for the next on the agenda of time, since He knows the thought He has towards you, thought of peace and not of evil to give you expected end.
Partnership with Him is perfect assurance in all uncertainties of life. and I know surely that you w ill need him this year and in this stage
