Sung to Ode to Joy

I.
What's the grade for which your reaching
In this school we call life?
Have you done any researching
That could minimize the strife?

Life will end in a great testing
On that coming judgment day;
Happy will be those investing
In that Teacher who's the Way.

Chorus:
So for me to live is Jesus,
And to die is still my gain.
I'll not settle for a B-plus,
But by Him an A obtain.

II.
You can strive to be average,
Or just be content with less.
You can in sinful acts engage,
As you make your life a mess.

That's not the way I want to go
In this life that goes so fast.
There is good seed I want to sow
To produce fruit that will last.

III.
Jesus is my greatest treasure,
Thus for me to live is Christ.
He gives grace beyond all measure;
Gifts that just cannot be priced.

In Him I am rich in pleasure
Because of His sacrifice.
By His grace I'll live forever,
And enjoy His paradise.
