Our Hearts Are A Flood Zone

Our hazardous hearts have become a disaster area, but not primarily in the way we might think. God has flooded our hearts with His love through His Holy Spirit, drowning the terrible terrain of sin, until our hearts are overflowing with that same love, becoming a veritable spiritual flood zone.  I know better now why eternal life has to be eternal.  Because it will take an eternity for God to even begin to express all the loving-kindness that is stored up in His infinitely tender and tenderly infinite heart toward us as Gods children.  (And God knows that love that goes unexpressed is of little use. )  It will take an eternity also for us as recipients of God's love to even begin to give Him due thanks and praise for all that love. We will never have thanked and praised Him enough of course, but that won't discourage us from trying.
