You are everlasting, but, apart from You, we and our fleeting joys are never lasting. You are never changing but, apart from You, we are everchanging and, yet, complain of sameness and monotony. God, you so loved the world, and we had to be so loved by You, because we were so lost without You and yet so proud. But pride is a plant that cannot that cannot thrive or survive in the blood sprinkled ground beneath the Cross.
