The soul shall live eternally, even though the physical body perishes. Materialistic items shall not follow the soul into the next life. They stay behind. So, what life awaits the soul after the passing away of the physical body? The soul shall experience either love and acceptance in a new home or shall experience loneliness and nothingness. I don’t believe there is materialism in the next world, not at least in terms of ownership. I want my eternal life to be filled with love and acceptance. I want to see the beauty and awe of God forever. Christ was lifted up that we might have eternal life in Him.
