Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” Mark 7:14-15 NIV
We might tend to think that external things are the cause of us doing that which is not pleasing in the eye of the Lord. But it is that which is in our heart which causes us to be sinful. We bring what is evil inside of us to outside of us due to our sinful nature within our heart. Our heart can only be clean if we give it to the Lord and have the Holy Spirit living within us. Let the Holy Spirit live within you.
