One cold November evening, not long before Thanksgiving, Jesse sat in his easy chair relaxing after a hard day’s work. Setting aside his steamy mug of hot cocoa he decided to open that day’s mail. He grumbled because of the bills and the junk mail and pondered why he had received a letter from the I.R.S. “Hope I didn’t do my taxes wrong … hey, maybe I overpaid and I’m getting a refund”, he thought.

Words can’t describe Jesse’s shock when he read the letter. He did owe taxes, but not hundreds of dollars, not thousands, not even tens of thousands. Jess owed the I.R.S. well over a half a million dollars in taxes. “Pay up”, the letter concluded.

After a number of phone calls to the I.R.S., enduring several dropped calls and long wait times, he was instructed to send copies of his tax forms and his tax return to the originating I.R.S. office. Likely it was a clerical error, he was told.

Believing the issue would be resolved, Jess anxiously opened the reply he received Christmas week. He could barely swallow the lump in his throat when he was informed the I.R.S. rejected his appeal and he had sixty days to resolve the issue.

For the first time he panicked. The Internal Revenue Service is one of the most powerful agencies in the world. As the man said: “You don’t mess with the I.R.S.”

It was then he recalled Philippians 4:6-7”

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (KJV)

After heartfelt prayer, Jesse retained THE Agency, the Firm of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Placing his faith in the Holy Trinity, he was guided to the I.R.S. web site where he accessed his tax return transcript. He discovered that a figure on his tax return had been mistakenly multiplied by one hundred. After consulting with an I.R.S. national tax advocate, the problem was eventually resolved and Jessie owed no taxes. Prior to his petition to the Agency, he had no knowledge of a tax return transcript or the national tax advocacy program.

Today, Jesse likes to say he fought the I.R.S. and he won. Of course, he knows it was God who really won. Now he uses his tale to spread the Gospel.

Do you have a problem that seems overwhelming? Do you feel helpless? Do what Jesse did and retain THE Agency. They work pro bono and only ask that you place your faith and trust in them.
