Poetry
At the hospital all that day,
This mother walked and prayed.
Pacing up and down the floor,
Seeking Gods amazing grace.
Her child hangs by a single thread,
Between living life and death.
No strength to breathe upon his own,
A machine gives him breath.
The doctors search for answers,
So far they've searched in vain.
And this mother keeps on praying,
For God to stop the pain.
The doctors say it's hopeless,
He's gone too far to save.
But his mother won't accept that,
And all can hear her pray.
“God if you'll just spare him,
You can take my life instead.
After all without him God,
I might as well be dead”.
She pleads with God for mercy,
Cries, ”where's the Angel he deserves”.
Then she cried for Jesus,
To intervene for her.
“Remind our God, of the love,
He willingly displayed.
The love he used to raise his son,
Who lay silent in the grave.
It’s the same love that I have,
For this child of mine you see."
The doctors cannot help him,
That’s why I turn to thee.
A nurse came running to her,
"A miracle has taken place.
While sitting there beside your boy,
I saw an Angel kiss his face.
He sat up and looked around,
With no sign of any pain.
And now your young man's waiting,
Calling out your name."
This mother believes in miracles,
They all did when God was through.
If you had stood in her shoes,
You'd believe in miracles too.

Ok just got goosebumps reading that. Absolutely beautiful!
I do! I do! What an awesome God He is!
Very touching...I really felt that. Thanks very much
Thank you for sharing. This was absolutely beautiful! It is that same power that raised Christ from the grave that our faith can activate today. God bless.
Oh, my! You were there? Just kidding. But I have worn that mother's shoes, so your poem gives me chills (Godbumps) at the memories of the miracles that took place in my son's life. I suppose my mother would tell you the same though, as she saw me raised from the dead at 2 months old. Seems the Lord has some pretty significant plans for both myself and my son.
