Every Christmas season we all celebrate
of the birth of Jesus our King
But again he's left out in the cold
and hardly one word in what he did bring
There in a manger made out of wood
displayed on many lawns everywhere
And it's nothing wrong when this is done
but in the heart he's no longer there
Oh what a display that our eyes behold
but I found it to be much more
And that is to welcome him in our homes
for there he stands at the door
So there he stands out in the cold
day year in, and day year out
While we are so busy with our big chores
and this, does leave some doubt
Why not want him in our warm hearts
so he can feast with me and you
and to spread his joy all through each house
with decorations that shines all through
We as christians owe our children the truth
that the Lord He is supreme
and though he came low, he was that king
and that we should highly esteem
No man in a red suit should get this praise
making him to be some God
And in knowing the truth then it must be told
that the only true God should reside
Christians tell their children, it's no harm
yet we teach them it's wrong to tell lies
But we fail to see it's still the same thing
and when corrected, we bat our eyes
Children will be children and this God knows
but they do have a right to know
Don't keep drilling this into their hearts
but let the true meaning of Christmas show
Then it can be more beautiful
if we will let it dwell within
Giving Christ Jesus the whole front seat
for he gave his life for our sins
He doesn't mind the celebration of his birth
He enjoy the praise's of his name
and wants us to have a happy merry Christmas
but what joy if we let it remain
For his birth was more than we make it to be
He was a beginning of a new life
and Salvation was reason for the season
And it did not come with strife
A bundle of joy was presented to a dying world
a light that did shine so bright
And if we only belive he will shine in us
and also reveal to what is right
So let this Christmas, become a real meaning
and let the heart become his manger
Take him out of the cold and give him a room
so the soul won't be in danger
One of the best presents we can give to him
and that is the souls of men
Then this will become the real meaning of Xmas
for you'll have it deep within
