Every man is  relationship with someone or something.

In the garden of Eden, the first man was not created to be alone. Prior to the provision of Eve as a companion, God used to visit him in the "cool of the day" (Genesis 3:8) to relieve him of loneliness.

Later, God created woman as a "help meet"(Genesis 1:26, King James Version, KJV). This filled a hole in the life of Adam. That is a vacant position of a companion "comparable" to him. God made Adam in His image and likeness and both were able to relate with each other for about one hundred and two years, according to research, without any hitch.

According to the wise counsel of God, He purposed to increase the number of men on the Earth, Eve was brought in to walk with God and Adam. So, the man lived for sometime before a woman came into his life 1 Corinthians 11:8-9. However, Eve never lived a single day without a man.

Not only that, Adam also had relationships with other creatures in the garden. After God's visit, he was left with animals, birds, etc. Yet, this relationship could not be compared with that of fellow human being. When Eve came into Adam's life, both continued to relate with other creatures, at least to dominate them, as God instructed.

Henceforth, relationship has been existing between mankind horizontally, vertically, and so on.

One truth about relationships is that, there is a foundation. God was the One who laid the foundation of the first couple's relationship. Since that time, there have been various forms of foundation for relationships.

Have you taken time to review the basis of your relationship? The foundation depends on how long it will last and how strong it will be. It is easier to claim that your relationship is based on love. The question remains, which type of love? What brought up the love. Is it real love or "love look-alikes"? This will go a long way in what will happen to you and those involved in such relationships and what will be the end of each person. Join me in part two of this write-up, by God's grace, where possibly we continue by examining type one of love for a foundation.
Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
