Safe In The Word Not Word In The Safe

There was a man who had a plan,

The best that one could ever have

Yet he covered it neatly and kept it in a safe,

And never referred to it  - O what a mishap?  

The plan of life was meant to teach,

To transform him to become the best,

Yet un-referred as it stayed always in his safe

He was never able to overcome his life’s unrest

And one fine day when he had nothing to do,

He thought to clean his safe that very day,

And when he’d opened the safe to clean it,

He found the plan stored in it was actually a blessed way

When his eyes fell on the famous verse,

‘The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want’

Soon he realized how unwise he’d been

And his former ways he decided to recant

He read through the plan, he read through the Word,

Devouring each blessedness as it outpoured,

O what a joy! O what a peace!

In hope and faith, high now he soared.

Daily read Your Bible, don’t just keep it in the safe

For this is God’s plan for all to be blessed,

“Let its blessedness keep us safe always.”
