I hear your voice in quiet times
Alone, I can almost feel your touch
I know I was truly safe
Yes, we had our ups and downs
We agreed and we disagreed
But it’s very sad
To feel your warmth no more
Sometimes I’m lost and confused
The loss has been hard
And it hurts so bad
Why did you have to leave?
Why did you leave me alone?
I do feel so alone
Just why?
I'd really like to know
It’s hard
I’m only human
And I miss you so much
My love for you will never end
But I will go on
Because I know
To be absent from the body
Is to be in the presence of God
You are at rest now
I can’t bring you back
But one day…
