As the Ace of Spades fell into his hands.
He downed his scotch, while checking the time.
The Royal Flush was at her command.

And so the coins were laid on the table,
The bet was sacrosanct. 
No win, nor lose crossed the minds of each other, 
Beneath the firmament. 

These cards were dealt without expectation. 
And as the Universe revealed, 
True love is felt by those who are asking,
True love is felt for real.

Fifty two cards danced on the table,
By representing one year..
Each dealt a hand to those of mixed fortune,
Others, a hand of fear.

And so the coins are laid on the table,
The bet was sacrosanct. 
No win, nor lose crossed the minds of the lovers,
Beneath the firmament. 

In walks the King of Diamonds, 
Queen of Hearts melt in his hands.
They're not playing for the soul of the ego,
But for the pure intent.
