There is a difference between “talkable” Faith and “walkable” Faith.  There is a difference between “verbalized” love and “actionized” love.  Christians need to exhibit a visible love that is recognized and realized by people everywhere.  I have noticed recently how our expressions of love have seemed to be overshadowed by our carnal opinions.  Opinions seem to be the “talk of the town” while foundational Love sits on the “bench” waiting to be called into action.  Whenever a political election is presented, the Love factor is greatly diminished.  What seems to flow from the lips of the Believers is a “loveless” expression toward politicians.  When Christians parley with those of differing opinions, love disengages and expressions of carnality become audible. 

When are Believers going to realize that the center of our Faith is LOVE!  For God showed His Love for us in sending His only begotten Son that we might be redeemed and restored to our Creator.  God is love and the Believer is the evidence of that love. Christians are the conduit through which God’s everlasting Love is conveyed to the world.  During these difficult times, we must never forget to convey Love, not only toward God but to people everywhere.

I believe that some Christians look at love as a foundational certainty but fail to build on that love.  When love is not conveyed, all that observers see and hear is a “tinkling cymbal” that makes a lot of noise while showing little of the Grace of God.  The greatest conveyor of the Kingdom of God is its citizens that are empowered by the Holy Spirit.

We hear that every vote is important when it comes to elections.  I believe it is equally important that LOVE is displayed on a daily basis.  I know that Believers will say that this article is built on an assumption that is already known and appreciated.  Well said, but there is no harm in reinforcing that belief.  The Apostle John sent a letter to a certain lady whom he and other Believers had great respect for.  In this letter, he praised her for her Godly effort in raising her children to walk in the “truth.”  Then he proceeded to reinforce to her the command to continue to “love one another.”  John knew she understood about love.  But it is important to remind anyone to keep their eyes on the basics of the Christian faith. (II John 1:5,6)

When is the last time we heard love in our political “pow-wows?”  In fact, as we were drawn into the “politics” discussion group, love was put into temporary storage.  The longer we talked, the slippery the slope to carnality.  We must not become so conscious of the flaws of others that love has a hard time being manifested. 

We may disagree with what politicians are promoting, but we must never let our beliefs dehumanize an individual for his actions.  I refuse to allow any of my actions to stifle the love that God has poured into my life.  I refuse to berate misguided politicians.  I refuse to engage in judgment that God has reserved for Himself.  Michael, the archangel of God, refused to engage the Devil when it came to contending for the body of Moses.  He left it up to God to deal with the situation.  (Jude v.9)  May we learn the same principle!  God can handle the election!
