Wholeness

"The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”

— Philippians 4:9 (NASB)

Learned is GAINING fact-knowledge and REFLECTING on it so as to come to REALIZE.

Received is TAKING by strong initiative the instruction of teacher.

Heard is hearing and LISTENING.

Seen is DISCERNING physically and mentally, and so experiencing (because of watching, listening, and following the teacher).

The Command:

PUT INTO PRACTICE and KEEP PRACTICING and ACCOMPLISH what you’ve seen, heard, been taught, and received.

And

the GOD of PEACE will be with you.

Not the fleeting peace that may come from living in the world but

God’s PEACE, which brings wholeness of heart, mind, body, and spirit-the joining of these parts of us in wholeness and with God.

SO…

if you want God’s peace, then practice and keep practicing to accomplish the facts you’ve GAINED, REFLECTED ON, and come to REALIZE by TAKING what the teacher TAUGHT you through HEARING and LISTENING and DISCERNING……………GOD’s TRUTH.

Then you will

Rejoice in the Lord always,

Have a gentle spirit,

Not be anxious,

Be in communion with God, and

Know what is honorable, right, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:4-8)
