Always thought to give thanks for my blessings.
As I watch sunrises and settings,
My Lord chose to give me another day.

You're living a life divine,
Is what my mother used to say.

Go ahead, love, go seek your rainbow,
Live through a kaleidoscope of colours.
You will find that red is what everyone bleeds,
And tears are clear to see.
Is what my mother used to say to me.

With her advice, her heart in my pocket,
Left her home, my journey had started,
Can't deny, I cried a veil of tears.
But I knew her love was near,
In doing so, I forgot my fears.

I loved God, at times, He was rejected.
I climbed mountains, valleys were expected,
I gave birth to forward my ancestor's needs.
Plenty of time, you see,to give thanks for this life I lead.

I have loved and lost many in my life,
Death has knifed me, taken by surprise, see?
Mother said that red is what everyone bleeds,
And tears are close,to see,
Is what my mother used to say to me.

I found love, the warmest invitation,
Here on Earth, I know my destination,
Loneliness had lived and had left my veins,
A beating heart remains,
For nothing's lost that can't be gained.
