God The Justifier of those Who Believe in Christ

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23 KJV).

“Being Justified freely by his grace through that redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” (Romans 3:24 KJV)

“Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God:” (Romans 3:25 KJV)

“To declare, I say at this time his righteousness; that he might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus,” (Romans 3:26 KJV).

“For there is no respect of persons with God,” (Romans 2:11 KJV).

In John chapter 8 verse three “the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him (Jesus), a woman taken in adultery and when they had set her in the midst,” “They say unto him Master this woman was taken in adultery in the very act,” (John 8:4). They asked Jesus what he believed should be the woman's punishment for committing adultery. They tempted him by saying that in the law Moses said to stone her (John 8: 5-6 KJV). “[...]But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not,” (John 8:6). In verse seven of John chapter 8, they keep asking Jesus for his answer, then Jesus lifts himself up and says, “he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” He wrote on the ground again, (John 8:8). And the woman's accusers became convicted of their sins and one by one began to leave until there was no one left save Jesus and the woman (John 8:9-10). “[...] Woman where are those thine accusers; hath no man condemned thee?” (John 8:10).

In verse eleven, of John chapter 8, the woman is justified by God through her belief and faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior. The woman believes in Christ because she refers to Jesus, in verse 11, of John chapter 8, as her Lord. “She said no man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, neither do I condemn thee, go, and sin no more,” (John 8:11). Jesus didn't come into the world to condemn the world but to save the world. Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). None of us have room to cast stones at each other. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. No one is without sin, no matter how perfect we think we may be. Whether we commit one sin or ten sins, we all have come short of his glory and need the blood of Christ for remission of our sins. It is through Christ and not our good behavior that we are saved and have been brought into right standing and fellowship with God our Father.

The Bible tells us to remove the beam from our own eyes before trying to remove the mote or speck out of our brother's eye. We need to deal with the sins in our own lives, before we start pin pointing and judging others for their sins. Who are we to judge another man's servant? (Matthew 7:3-5). For, “He hath not dealt with us after our sins: nor rewarded us according to our iniquities,” (Psalms 103:10). “For as the heaven is high above the earth so great is his mercy toward them that fear him,” (Psalms 103:11).

We must have mercy on our fellow brothers and sisters. “But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance,” (Matthew 9:13). We must be forgiving and merciful toward others. This mercy is evidence of God's love in our own lives. “For if we do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will our father forgive us our trespasses,” (Matthew 6:15).

Father God, I pray that we strive to live in peace and love our fellow man as you have loved and forgiven us.
