We are all concerned about how we look on the outside, our vanity part of us. Just think about how much money is spent on products to make us look better, smell better and dress better. I do think it is important to take care of ourselves, but what does your heart look like. 

If the true state of your insides were on display like your outside is, what would we see? Would it be envy, anger, strife, bitterness, hatred, and the list goes on? Hopefully we would see graciousness, love, forgiveness, patience, joyfulness and many other good things

  Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples saying. "They clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean,”  Matthew 23:25-26 NIV

 It doesn’t matter how good you look when you get all dressed up, if when you open your mouth, ugliness comes spurring out. This will tell what the real you looks like. We can’t hide behind a beautiful appearance, you will shine from the inside out, for better or worse.

“The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.” Luke 6:45 NASB1995

 God is concerned about what comes from our hearts. This is where He starts when we give our lives over to Him.   Helping us clean our hearts for the world to see, as a witness of His love for us, and in us.

Give yourself a check up, see what condition your heart is in. Pay attention to your thoughts and your reactions to things that happen through out your day. Watch how you are speaking to and are treating those around you. 

Think about it : Others only truly know you by the truth revealed from your heart, through the words spoken out of your mouth.
