Why do I believe 
In something unforeseen?
All I have are words once written,
What has caused me to be smitten?
This, I've yet to know.

Why do I believe
People should be free?
I can feel their pain, their sorrow,
Come tomorrow,
They may truly grow.

People call it faith,
Let's make no mistake.
I have felt the warmth of kindness
From the least, all a sign 
That told me this is so!

Why then, all the strife
As we live this life?
There must be a reason, purpose,
Why we signed up, well rehearsed
So many times before!

The Universe is vast,
Once the spell's been cast.
Something sensible's emerging,
Here I feel something is urging
Me to understand,
There is so much more!
