As a human being, death is a certainty. No one gets out alive. The only hope Christians have of not dying is if Jesus comes back during our time here and takes us away. He will change our bodies into bodies fit for Heaven and eternity. Our present bodies are damaged by sin (I believe at the cellular level) and only Jesus can change that.
This current corona virus is nothing new to the human race. It's new to us because we have not experienced something like this in our lifetime, but there have been epidemics and pandemics and plague and disease as long as there have been sin-ravaged humans on Earth.
We can't see the future. It may be that in spite of our best efforts at self-isolation and good hygiene, we fall ill. At that point, we must be prepared for our possible death. The certainty of death is always with us, all through life, but now it's brought up close and personal, and we must confront our own mortality. It is at that point we have got to, GOT TO I say, be prepared spiritually for eternity. It stands before us.
God has prepared a way that we can be prepared to step into eternity and join Him in Heaven. We all, each and every one of us was born with sin within us, due to the first man, Adam's initial sin. That sin must be paid for with a death. God sent His own Son, Jesus to pay for our sin with His death and resurrection. When we accept Jesus' death as the death we should have died for our sin, and the just payment before God, we are cleansed from our sin and can face our death with assurance that we will be forever with Him. With this assurance, we can face our death without fear, looking forward with joy to the next stage of our existence.
All you need to do is cry out to God, recognizing that you can't save yourself, and accepting Jesus' death as payment for your sin. Immediately, you are adopted into the family of God and are cleansed of your sin. Our God has never broken a promise He has made yet and He never will. We can trust Him with our lives here on Earth and with our eternity. We can face death with calm and trust.
Eternity is a long time, and each of us is due to spend it in one of two places: Heaven or Hell. Make your choice wisely.
