Most angels don't play harps and sing. Read the descriptions of angels in the Bible. Nowhere does it describe them as girls in white dresses playing harps, or naked babies with tiny wings. We do not become angels when we die and go to Heaven.  Humans and angels are two entirely different classes of beings.
Cherubim are powerful, majestic beings charged with guarding the holiness of God Himself. (Ezekiel 1) (Revelation 4:6-8) Some angels are messengers sent from God's throne to tell certain humans what they need to know. Other angels are tasked with guardianship over the nations. (Daniel 10:13, 20) (Daniel 12:1)
Satan is trying to undermine the strength and authority and power of those angels who did not follow him, so he has built this picture of angels into our culture.
