Such a stormy night,
Rain lashed, spattered window panes,
Lightning danced the sky to gain
It's place between the thunder burst of clouds.
Shining, as though proud.
Wonder what it seeks to gain?
Does it have the upper hand
To see the dark and therefore understand?
Watch the Ocean's wave,
Bringing in each ship to shore,
Guided by the lighthouse,swore
The winds had changed as they were headed home.
Lovers on their knees,
Watching as their Ship sailed in,
Headscarves tossed in biting winds
Unlike the stable love they felt within.
Now do you know why
Rain must fall, as does your tears?
They release abundant fears
Just like the Sailor, as he journeyed home.
Colouring your eyes,
Watch the morning bird imply
He has wings to help him fly
As he connects to
God's own clearest sky.
