Son, remember this, as you start each day
Your mom and dad both faithfully pray
That God would uphold you by His power
To give you grace for that needed hour.

When trials and testings come to bring
That which will break you or make you sing
May you be found in His abiding place,
With abundant peace, with sufficient grace.

Taking strength in Jesus, the King of Kings
Who truly makes the joy bells ring
Have never a moment that you permit to stay
An impure thought that will lead you astray

But bring into captivity and harness them in.
Submit to His righteousness, cast out the sin
Stand pure in Jesus, and standing there tall.
Having Him as Standard Bearer, ye shall not fall!

Break forth in praises, praise to that King
All hail Thee Lord Jesus, my every thing!
I own no other so precious as Thee
Thou ownest me ever! What Liberty!

Bought with a price, His blood shed for me
Here am I Lord, useth Thou me.
My life no longer one seeking to find
Pleasures that bring to me which all undermine.

But rather to serve Thee, with motives most pure
Unfailing love to Thee, Lord give me more!
