Thoughts Exposed - Jane H. Young

What if your every thought was heard by those around you, I bet you would get them under control very quick — who wouldn’t? What kind of thoughts are you allowing to run through your mind. The choice is yours, you are in complete control. Don’t tell yourself you can’t help it, that is a lie straight from the devils mouth.  

“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”Philippians 4:8 NASB

 I believe it takes less time to have a good thought then it does to have a bad thought because — when you are having a bad thought you roll it over and over in your mind not trying to let it go. Not the same with those  good thoughts, they are usually in and out of your mind in record time. 

Lets say you had a fight with someone and now you are reliving that fight in your mind, but this time it is playing out with a different result because you are controlling both sides of the conservations, in your mind you are winning. You feel good, you have the upper hand, well you also have the upper hand on giving yourself an absolutely miserable day. 

We can on purpose decide what we think about, let’s  make it’s something good! Being mad and agitated all day  is completely useless. As we all know it doesn’t make the problem, the hurt, are anger go away. Lets take control of the thoughts we allow to fall into our minds everyday and even more important what we let have  place in our hearts.

Prayer: Lord you know all my thoughts, how miserable that must be for you to hear, please forgive me. Help me to control what I allow to enter my mind today, let me grab only the good thoughts and dwell on those.
