Author requests article critique

Rock me gentle hands of promise
Hold me gentle hands of strength
Restore thy bands that I had squandered
Remove me from destructions brink

Bring me near thy throne of mercy
With psalms to sweet amazing grace
At the horns upon the alter
I’ll exercise my seed of faith

Renew the soul with rivers flowing
Renew the heart with Angel hymns
Renew a spirit once so broken
Lift me from this pit I’m in

Highly I exalt thee Savior
Above all realms that earth possess
Let thy hidden mystery flourish
In this vessel of regret
