Stop Doubting

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” John 20:26-27 NIV

I believe at times most of us have some doubts, and some of them may even be religious beliefs. One thing though that I shall never doubt is the humanity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, who came to save humanity from itself and its sinful nature. Jesus loves us enough that He went to the cross that we might have atonement for our sins and be able to spend eternity in His presence.

When times are rough for you do you have doubts about God and His desire for you? That may be understandable, but it does not change who God is nor the fact that He does love you, cares about you, and wants the best for you. Rough times are just a part of living and God does not refrain from letting them come to us. Rough times can help to grow our faith. Just know that God is with you through it all.
