Better to hobble into heaven painfully with one eye squinting than to run in a sprint skipping and leaping into hell with twenty twenty vision.
The part of our disposition that isn't patience and kindness and humility is the dangerous part, because it is the part that can do damage to others and to ourselves.
What we most feel the need of as we come to Jesus our Savior, that is how we characterize our experience. One who felt dirty feels washed, one who was aimless feels a sense of purpose and direction. One who was troubled feels a deep presence of peace and so on.....
There is a clue in the circumstances of every conversion to Christ of how that salvation will play out, even far into the future.
