Christmas is over, giving is done
We now look to the ending of '21.
Corona caused problems for me and for you
But our God was faithful to get us all through.
So now our thoughts turn to the new year ahead...
And firm resolutions we've so often said.
"I resolve to do that" "I resolve to do this"
But each resolution is as good as a miss!
Why do those promises so quickly fade?
They sounded so noble when they were made.
That's why God's Word says don't promise at all.
Your flesh is weak... you are likely to fall.
No resolutions? No goal to improve?
Should I keep all my faults and never move?
That's not what I'm saying, please listen to me.
One resolution can set your heart free.
Resolve in your heart, don't waver at all
Resolve to trust Jesus... he won't let you fall.
