One that loveth not knoweth not God. For God is love. There are four Greek terms used in the Bible for love: Agape means love for God. Philia means brotherly love. Eros and starg means family love. In John 21 Jesus used agape in first two questions and philia is used in third question and Peter’s three answers. The example for false love is if anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need and has no pity on him how can the love of God be in him. This demands love in action. Flee the evil desires of youth but pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Love your enemies because sun and rain are coming on good and unrighteous. And you will be sons of the Most High.

This is love not that we loved God but that God loved us and gave his son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. If anyone loves God, he must not hate his brother. How can he love unseen God if he hates his brother who is seen? Love means doing the commandments of God. 2 John 6. Charity never fails means charity lives forever. Charity speaks of love for destitute. Charity is greater than faith and hope. Love is the fruit of Holy Spirit tree of grace. God is not unjust he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Philemon is famous for faith in Jesus and love for saints.

God demonstrated his love for us while we are yet sinners, enemies of God and still powerless, Christ died for us. For Christ’s love compels us because we are convinced that one died for all and therefore all died and he died for all that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. And hope does not disappoint because God has poured out his love along with the Holy Spirit who lives in us. The grace of our Lord was poured on us along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Disciples should set an example in love, purity and speech. God is abounding in love, compassionate and full of mercy. Greater love has no one than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. In the last days love of many will wax cold. And in the end days people will be lovers of pleasure and money. And also of themselves than lovers of God.

Jesus said to them if God were your Father you would love me for I have come here from God. Perfect love casteth out fear and fearful are not made perfect in love. Love the Lord with all your mind, strength, heart and soul. This is the greatest commandment and next unto it is Love your neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and prophets.

Wives love your husbands and children. Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the Church and gave himself for her and to present her holy and blameless. He who loves his wife loves himself. Let no debt remain except the continuing debt to love one another. Love does no harm to its neighbour therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. For one repented soul there is more rejoicing in heaven and this is love of God that no one should perish. Since God loved us and laid his life for us, we need to lay our lives for our brothers. We love because he first loved us.

One who keeps Jesus words has complete love of God. No one has ever seen God but if we love one another God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. As Father has loved me I love you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commands you are in my love as I keep Father’s commands and abide in his love.

There are three necessary kinds of love. If love makes of condition. Because love makes of cause. Both are not trustworthy, genuine, authentic and true. But one thing remains that is of Jesus's inspite of love. His love never fails, never gives up, never runs out on us.
