The Seven Dispensations.
Seven dispensations or systems of man’s history on earth. Dispensation is the system in which God has revealed his mind and will to man. After these seven dispensations there will be new heaven and new earth. Bible is revealed and there is no other revelation that is not mentioned in the Bible.
Dispensation of innocence – Adam.
God created man and woman in his image. He told be fruitful and multiply. And he suggested to obey him as owner of them. God talks to them in the cool of the day. They were morally innocent and without sin. Adam means son of the red earth and Eve means mother of living.
Dispensation of conscience – Noah.
Noah preached years together about coming flood. But neglected people and their generations vanished. Eight of them and pair of each bird and animal were restored. Rainbow is the sign for Noahic Covenant. Conscience is the inner aspect of man where sense of right and wrong is developed. Noah is the symbolic representation of the nation Israel.
Dispensation of human government – Nimrod.
Built Tower of Babel and Nineveh. Grandson of Noah built Assyria. At the Tower of Babel God confused languages and various languages emerged. Nimrod family names were the origins of all the names of pagan deities. At the tower of Babel the power of human government was illustrated more.
Dispensation of promise – Abram.
Because of this promise he made the nation Israel. Promise was I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you. And all the people of the earth will be blessed in you. And I will make you a mighty nation. Because of this promise Israelites were chastened and were purified. Circumcision is the sign of Abrahamic Covenant. Abraham believed in God and it was credited to him as righteousness.
Dispensation of law – Moses.
Law was given after 430 years promise was given to Abram. Christ is the end of law. Love is the fulfillment of law. Law is a unit one transgression means the disobedience of all. Law is holy but not the medicine for the problem of sin. For if there is no law one cannot distinguish or prove sin. Moses who was the most humble man drew a pattern for the prophets.
Dispensation of gospel – Church.
Christ replaced law with himself and his words. Christ is the message of the gospel. Holy Spirit is Jesus without limit. Church is the bride of Christ. Jesus means he will save his people from their sins. Jesus told go and make disciples. Church will not suffer tribulation. Gospel is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes. Eucharist is the sign for new covenant.
Dispensation of millennium – Reign of Messiah.
Jesus rules 1000 years. After 1000 years some will go with Satan. This is the final dispensation. Temple is built in Jerusalem. Parents of millennium will be with body and live for 1000 years. Disobedient will have Great White Throne Judgement. There will be raptured people and resurrected saints.
