The chief priests of the Jews protested to Pilate, “Do not write ‘The King of the Jews,’ but that this man claimed to be king of the Jews.” Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.” John 19:21 NIV
The Jewish leaders were never satisfied. Here Jesus had been crucified and was going to die, yet the leaders complain about the sign which was put near the top of the cross. But that is just how the leaders were. Pilate had had enough of their manipulation. This time he was not going to change his mind.
Do we change our minds at sharing the word of God with others? Do we tailor it to be appeasing or do we just share the truth? Let us not compromise in how we share the Good News with others.
