Once more Pilate came out and said to the Jews gathered there, “Look, I am bringing him out to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against him.” When Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe, Pilate said to them, “Here is the man!” John 19:4-5 NIV

Pilate was trying to appeal to the crowd for empathy. Jesus had been flogged and I am sure it was evident to the crowd in viewing Him. Pilate could not find any charge against Jesus and wanted no part in His demise. But as we shall see, all of Pilate’s action were in vain. The Jewish leaders were determined to rid themselves of this man. Little did they know though who it is they were asking to be executed.

How do you see Jesus? Do you see and know the side of Him who yearns to have a deep relationship with you? He wants to be your Savior and your Lord. Give yourself totally to Him and you will never be the same again.
