Child of God, you may be weary;
and your troubles hard to bear.
You may think that He's forgotten,
and that Jesus does not care.

He walked the road to Calvary,
bearing your sins to the cross.
He knows everything that hurts you,
as you suffer earthly loss.

Ready to rise, ready to rise.
Lord Jesus, we are ready to rise.
Ready to meet loving arms opened wide.
Lord Jesus, we are ready to rise.

Jesus smiles as He looks from Heaven,
knowing just what lies ahead.
The mansions now are finished.
He'll call first the righteous dead.

The trumpet will soon be sounding,
from the portals in the sky.
Child of God, look steadfastly upward,
and be ready to rise.

Ready to rise, ready to rise.
Lord Jesus, we are ready to rise.
Ready to make our new home on high.
Lord Jesus, we are ready to rise.
