Facing Confrontation

Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?” John 18:4 NIV

Jesus did not back away from confrontation. He did not do it while He preached in the temple, nor when questioned by the Pharisees, nor here in the garden, even though He knew what would happen to Him.

How often do we back away from confrontation which involves truth? Do we just keep quiet, or actually avoid the situations which would cause the confrontation? If confrontation we might face involves truth, then we need to face it, just as Christ did. We cannot hide behind lies and that which is not truth.

We are called to share the Truth, the truth about Jesus Christ. Do not fear confrontation over that which is Truth. The Holy Spirit shall direct you.
