What is the glory we as believers received from Christ? Is it only something to be received when we leave this earth, ascending to our heavenly residence? Well, we definitely will see and be in the presence of glory at that time, and thus receive glory, but there is glory received here and now. We who believe in Christ have access to the kingdom of God here on earth. Although we do not see the whole realm of God’s kingdom at this time, it does not mean we have no access to it. We work for the advancement of the kingdom of God. Why would we be asked by God to work for something to which we have no access?

Outflowing from the glory we receive in and through Christ comes the unifying of us as Christ’s followers. We must stand together and be united, just as the Father and the Son are united. This is Christ’s gift to us. This is how the world shall be witnessed to by His own. This is how the world shall come to hear who Jesus Christ truly is. If we are not truly unified, unbelievers will see right through us, and our message will fall on deaf ears. We must truly receive glory in and through Christ and be united as one body in our Lord and Savior!
