Do not be scared by the title of this piece. Try as much as possible to completely read it. You will comprehend what it entails. This is not a wnite-up to introduce heresy into the kingdom of God but another way to tell the truth on what people, most especially people of God, love to do.
What do people love to do?
They love to bring others into their judgment hall for condemnation. This task is undertaken by all and sundry. No age or sex discrimination. Anything that anybody does deserves judgement and condemnation. What does the Holy Bible says?
"Judge not, that ye be not judged." Matthew 7:1 King James Version.
This is a simple instruction worthy of note. Otherwise you will work contrary to the Scriptures. Doing this will not be to your advantage.
Whatever may have happened to someone must have reasons behind it. This may be spiritual, physical, mental or emotional. You may not have sufficient reasons or evidence to bring anyone to condemnation. You are not all knowing in any form, are you?
It is sad that people are always in a hurry to judge and condemn others and their actions and inactions. They are not ready to wait to search for the truth surrounding an event in someone's life.
Are you not one of them?
Do you at all know that the yardstick you use in judging and condemning others will be used against you sooner or later. Matthew 7:2 discloses
"for with what judegement ye judge, ye shall be judged : and with
what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."
This is the truth of life. So you must watch well. Before you bring anyone into your hall of judgment and condemnation think twice!
Any need for this? The right answer is "yes!"
Matthew 7:3 reveals, And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eyes,
but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"
This translates that you have no right to bring others'' weakness or mistakes into judgement because you have yours also. These may be more or stronger than those of others but you are using others' as a canopy to cover your own weakness or mistakes. Verses four and five counsel that it is better to take care of your own bigger or more serious weakness before you will take care of those of other people. In most cases, the reverse is the case with people.
YOUR BIBLICAL LISCENCE : Do you know that you have a Bible approved license that makes you a qualified person who can judge others? Yes! You have one! What can this be? It emanated from an interesting story of a woman caught in adultery. Religious leaders of Jesus days, the scribes and Pharises brought a woman to Jesus Christ accusing her of waywardness. She was nabbed while committing it, in the very act! The woman had no explanation.
The book of Moses stated that she should be stoned to death. They sought Christ's opinion on the matter. She issued a license that can make them qualified to condemn the woman to death. What was the license? Jesus said,
"He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her," John 8:7c.
This simple statement is enough to qualify anybody to judge and condemn whoever commits any sin. That is if you are not having any sin in your life. Then examine your life ; are you free of sin? Are you not a malice keeper judging an adulterer or a fornicator? How can a criminal deliver judgment on another criminal? Is there any sense in that?
No wonder then that the accusers of the woman nabbed in the act of adultery could not cast a stone on her. They all went their different ways leaving her with only Jesus Christ. They could not condemn her because after Christ's statement, they saw their true pictures of sins each; they left for their homes ; thus setting the woman free from death.
What was Christ's counsel to her?
"Neither do I condemn thee ; go and sin no more" John 8:11.
No mortal man is free from the threat posed by Mr flesh. It wrecks great havock each day in each fellow's life. So the battle should be about how you are going to conquer Mr flesh in your life; that should take uppermost position in your heart and not who to judge or condemn.
NOTE FOR SALVATION
"The father loves the Son and has put everything into his hands.
And anyone who believes in God's Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn't
obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remain under God's
angry judgment" John 3:35-3
Stay blessed and prepared for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
