Much More To Reveal

"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.” John 16:12 NIV

There was much more for Christ to reveal to these men who followed Him, things from the Father. But Jesus knew that now was not the time to reveal them as the disciples were not yet ready to receive the “more” He had to speak to them. Remember Jesus had that very night told them that one of them would betray Him, that Peter would deny Him three times, that He would be put to death, and that He would not be with them much longer. How could their minds in that state be ready for more?

Have you noticed that all the message of Christ is not reveled to you at the same time? The Holy Spirit knows when the time is right for each of us to hear that which Christ wants us to hear. We need “chewable bites” so we can grasp and digest that which the Holy Spirit imparts to us. Be patient and obedient. In time the Holy Spirit does reveal that which you as Christ’s follower must know.
