What to do with unresolved feelings leaving your head in a fog
Going over and over in your head what was said in the past dialogue
Several moments have passed with experiences between you two
Now left in a haze wondering what it is exactly you’re supposed to do

On one hand you’ve always been supportive and loving without a hitch
While some of these notions in your thoughts have you feeling left abandoned in a ditch
Nothing ever seems to be simple when two paths intersect
Even when all you’ve ever done is show kindness and respect

Many question why many of us remain hesitant to connect
When the answer is blatant that we’ve never had favorable effects
It would seem there are far too many selfish people out there still
With the number growing consistently at will

Everybody is too focused on getting to the top for their own personal fill
To realize that the person their taking advantage of is left at the bottom of the hill
Hardly any of them realize that they’re doing something wrong
They just move on to the next person that appears to help them along

A sad sight to witness and a tragic way to be treated
Giving your all just to one day feel completely depleted
Generally there are exchanges for both sides when it comes to a friendship
These days it seems that there really isn’t ever true equality in any relationship
