Who Needs the Rapture When You Have Joe Biden?

Most eschatology scholars do not see a role of the United States in the end times. Indeed, the Bible makes no direct reference to America in any of the Biblical prophetic text.

Except, perhaps, one.

Ezekiel 38:13 states:  “Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all its villages, will say to you, ‘Have you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great spoil?’”

Dr. Thomas Ice, the Executive Director of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Research Center in Washington, D.C. states, “It is argued that ‘the merchants of Tarshish, with all its villages,’ refers to the colonies of Western Europe and the nations that have subsequently arisen from them. This would include North America and the United States. Thus, the response to the invasion of Magog into Israel from Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and its villages will be one of nonintervention. They will simply say, “Have you come to capture spoil?’”

Without diving into specifics and an expose on the End Times (to keep you from tuning out), the young lions of Tarshish, aka “with all its villages,” alludes to the United States. Bottom line, many scholars of prophecy and the end times see a United States that no longer holds the title as the world’s police.

And many of these scholars offer the very reasonable possibility that the United States will no longer hold global sway because of the rapture.  When millions of Americans suddenly disappear - including a few members of congress, many military and law enforcement officers, and the rest of us who believe - no longer contributing to the economy and society of the United States, this country will be rendered useless. 

Or maybe we just need President Joe Biden.

Since his inauguration on January 20, the following has taken place:

• Israel and Hamas engaged in war


• A major US pipeline hacked resulting in gasoline shortages on the east coast


• Russia began massing troops on the border with Ukraine


• China threatened Taiwan and Australia


• North Korea tests missiles


• Iran has awakened from their slumber 


• Mass illegal immigration into the southern border undermining the sovereignty of the United States


• Biden personally pouring fuel on the growing racial unrest thus contributing to the Biblical prophecy of “nations rising against nations” or in the original translation “ethnos against ethnos.” i.e. ethnicities against ethnicities.

• Steel


• Lumber


• Wheat


• Corn


• Soybeans


• Cotton


• Oil

And now meat thanks to another cyber attack. Been to the grocery store lately?

"You name it, and we have a shortage on it," Tom Linebarger, chairman and chief executive of Cummins Inc., an engine and generator manufacturer, said as reported in End of the American dream blog.

I forget anything else?

Oh right. How about all the jobs lost because Biden stopped the Keystone pipeline? Or that the government continues to pay people to stay home. The southern border wall construction stopped. I’ve lost count of the sudden number of mass shootings taking place. Think God has left the building?

The spending. The debt. Inflation now rearing its ugly head.

A $6 trillion spending plan?

An article in the Financial Times quotes former Treasury secretary and Democrat Larry Summers saying the Biden Administration is pursuing the least responsible fiscal macroeconomic policy in 40 years.  In an op-ed piece, Summers said the massive spending could result in sustained inflation which requires raising interest rates which then usually results in a recession.

Germany’s largest lender Deutsche Bank warned of a potential inflation crises for the U.S. thanks to increased government spending and a relaxed monetary policy that could lead the country towards one of its worst periods of inflation in history with serious consequences for the economy. 

Forget the sudden disappearance of millions. Just give Joe Biden the reigns. He’s doing a fantastic job of reducing the United States to a mere sideline protestor once the invasion of Israel commences.

So! Let’s give thanks to God for Joe Biden. A tool in in fulfilling His promise as prophesied more than several millennia ago.
