Belonging To This World

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. John 15:19 NIV

How is it that this world loves its own? There is war and hatred which does in part entail non-Christians against non-Christians. So, how is it that there is love there? There only is love there in that they would agree with purpose, meaning, and satisfaction in life is to be found in appeasing the flesh, in the worldly trinity of me, myself and I. The only way for there to really be love in this world that is not isolated is for it to be through Jesus Christ.

This world does not want true love. It is mired deeply in hate and selfishness. Focus on what is for ME. How so very sad this is. The world hates the Christian because the Christian has that which they want, true peace and joy. The issue is that the world is not willing to part with its ways to have the true joy and peace which it seeks.
