"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.” John 15:1 NIV
Just as the vine is nurtured by a gardener, so Christ was nurtured in that which to share with humanity. God the Father let Jesus, His Son know that which needed to be conveyed to mankind.
A vine provides life to the branches which are attached it it. Christ, being the true vine provides true life to those who are His branches. And so, what is true life? True life is spirit filled. It is because Christ, through the indwelling Holy Spirit, can provide a spirit that is no longer dead, but rather is filled with thoughts from God. The world cannot provide anything of true life to the heart and soul. Only Jesus Christ can provide that to mankind.
