That which was from the beginning,
Which we have heard, and we have seen;
Concerning a life with sinning,
That it seems to have always been.

We looked and touched with our hands,
With concerning the Word of life;
Disregard of God and His commands,
Then overwhelmed by all the strife.

For the life was made manifest,
For us to see and testify;
Of eternal life as addressed,
That we could no longer deny.

In which we have seen and have heard,
To declare and proclaim to you;
A fellowship within the Word,
With the Father will remain true.

The cross is bridging through the Son,
And we are writing of these things;
Our joy complete for what was done,
With the salvation that it brings.

This is the message we have heard,
Proclaim to you that God is light;
There is no darkness in His Word,
Rather wisdom giving insight.

If we say we have fellowship,
But we are walking in the dark;
We lie and the truth makes us trip,
Since we are blind where we embark.

If we are walking in the light,
We have friendship with each other;
And are doing all that is right,
While helping our brother.

The blood of Christ cleanses all sin,
If we are willing to confess;
He is just for purging within,
Of everything that we transgress.

If we say that we have no sin,
We are making God a liar;
Because His Word is not within,
And doomed for the lake of fire.
